pin connections?

Yesturday i was at a Local DEI shop thats been around for 20 years now and i notice that they dont solder anything they use pins and caps connecters. The wires from the alarm are pre-fab with these pins and they just pin them in there loctations. I never seen sales of these pin anywhere and has anyone see or heard of this ?

thats probably some form of ttap, which suck.

i think your refering to posi-taps.

No not  posi-taps its like a needle stuck in the plug locations .

So how does it stay in after the bumps and vibrations which incidentally is why the use of T Taps is forbidden in the UK

I question the same thing but my old car had a viper alarm /remote start system install there had it for 6years never a problem and he used closed wire connector as well with it.

O thats the first iv seen the posi-taps looks are they just has bad as the t-taps to?

But ill stick with my soldering.
