I recently replaced my 2-way remote for the Phython 871xp.  I was able to get it programmed, but it only works in 1-way, I don't get a confirmation beep, just an out of range type beep.  Any suggestions?

i installed one of these before. if you constantly get the out of range confirmation, change the battery to a brand new charged one. weird i know, but it works.

I'll try that today, Pretty sure It's a new battery.  I have a feeling it might be with the programing, but I think I did it correctly.  All the functions (lock/unlock/start) work using the default programming channel.  I double checked the antenna connection also.

I was having the same issue with one of my remotes of my Viper 571xv. After reading this thread, I changed the battery and no more out of range tone. Weird

WEIRD. you got that right. those remotes eats batteries as if its a joke. I used rechargable duracells and they worked good for a month tops.
