I just purchased a Python 592 Alarm and I will be attempting the install in my 2006 Ford Expedition. Here are the componenets I purchased:
*Python 592 Responder HD Color SuperCode SST 2-Way Security and Remote Start System Python 592 Responder HD Color SuperCode SST 2-Way Security and Remote Start System
*513T Mini Piezo Siren
*504D Double Guard Stinger Shock Sensor
*Directed Electronics 506T I.T. Audio Sensor
*Directed Electronics 8998 Bitwriter Cable 5 Pk
*Directed Electronics 520T Back-Up Battery System
*Install Essentials 508D Radar Field Disturbance Sensor
*Directed Electronics PKALL Encrypted Key Data Tranponder Bypass Kit
*Install Essentials 530T Window Automation System Install Essentials 530T Window Automation System
*Directed Electronics 998T Bitwriter Programmer
I have a few questions. First is this the same installation as the Viper 5901/5902?
I have downloaded a few different wiring diagrams and I also have the complete set of repair/wiring books from Ford on this truck. Do any of you know of any gotchas with this vehicle?
The only part I am scared about is in other topics people talking about using resistors and diodes. I work on computers for a living and I have no problem using a soldering iron, I just don't know when to use the diodes and resistors. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks again for any insight and I will be sure to post pictures and any info I find unique about this when I do it.

same as the 5902.

resistors should be right on or have a 10% tollerance max. for example if you need a 500ohm resistor, get a 500 or anything closest to 500 as possible.

diodes you will need are just regular 1watt resistors 1N400x where x can be any number 1-4.
