I have a 1999 mitsubishi montero sport xls 3.0, and did a self install with viper 5601
remote start works but ac does not power on until i insert key and turn on ingnition.
also i cant find in the installation manual how to activate alarm after i exit vehicle.
this is my first time and man its not easy installing an alarm

On your A/C problem:   Did you power up both ACC's?    Blue and Blue/Red, both at ignition switch?

I have both of those forms from the download section.
I plugged the the acc to the blue wire in the car coming from the ignition do you mean to loop it with 12 v constant??

Do you have the Blue/Red wire attached to the R/S as IGN2?  There appears to be some conflicting info about the Blue/Red wire.  You should use a DMM to double check these ingition wires.  Bulldog Security lists Blue/Red as ACC1 and Blue as ACC2.  This site and AudioVox list Blue as ACC1 and Blue/Red as IGN 2.  If you have not connected the R/S to the vehicles Blue/Red wire and it tests as an accessory wire,  then....

 Your R/S should have a way to power two ACC circuits.  I believe you can use the Vipers Flex Relay for this if you haven't used it already for IGN2 or Start2 ( which your vehicle doesn't appear to have/need.).  You do not want to attach the R/S's ACC1 output to both of the vehicles accessory wires.  Each should remain seperate, leave the Vipers ACC1 attached to the Blue wire and configure the Flex Relay for ACC2 and connect it to vehicles Blue/Red second ACC wire.

NEVER connect ignition 1 and 2 from the same wire, use the flex relay as suggested or a boost relay from ign 1. feeding the 2 wires from 1 source, will give the engine management grief = $$$, or spectacularly blow the tracks on your 5601 again = $$$!

this is how i got remote start to work, this is the first time i install an alarm ever Im a network tech have no clue what i did but it worked :)
but something is wrong
here are some pics let me know which one you cant make out and ill tell you exactly how i have it setup.

FIXED, called my cousin that does installs in NYC he walked me through over the phone
