Hi, need some thoughts on what is going on. I installed the viper keyless in a 1999 Dodge 2500 pick up, all went well except the light wire. The instructions claim to connect the white wire from the viper to the BLACK / YELLOW wire at the dkp, there is no BLACK / YELLOW wire at that location so I went to the light switch and made the connection but when operating the remote the lights do not flash on? While operating the remote I checked to see if voltage was coming from the white wire from the viper but found nothing? Any thoughts, thanks.

have you tested that wire in the truck to see if it has 12 volts when the parking lights are on and none when they are off?

also if you didnt buy the unit new, a previous owner might have moved the jumper inside the unit to turn the white wire into a neg trigger for a relay operated system that has more lights than the units internal relay could handle. or they may have used it as a neg output that some cars need to activate the parking lights.

if the unit is new, maybe you have too many lights and the fuse blew... if so then you need to use an external relay to power the lights.

It was bought new, there is power at the b/y wire when the lights are turned on and none when off. It would seem when the remote is used there should be voltage coming thru the white wire to flash the lights but there is not.

where is the fuse set in the brain box for the light flash?  there should be a little trap door that slides open to reveal the parking light fuse but needs to be set to the correct polarity jumper.

When holding the box and sliding the cover down, the fuse is set to the right side.
