I am replacing a non factory key less entry system in our 03 trailblazer. The old system had a peripheral interface module on it.They only used four wires to connect to wiring of vehicle.A purple wire going to diagnostic connector, wire going to horn, and 12v going to module.First do I need this interface module for it to work with the viper system and second what connections do I need to make to get my door locks to operate them.

The 211HV needs power, ground, and door lock connection to that interface module.  You'll probably want the key;ess module to send (-) triggers to the interface, then the interface sends commands tru that wire at the diagnostic connector (databus)..

One the 211HV... BROWN / black and WHITE/ Black -- not used

Purples to (-)Ground

and the Green and Blue wires connect to the interfaces door lock inputs.

I've got power to the key less system and power to the interface.Got purple and black wire from key less system and black wire from the interface tied to vehicle ground.Red wire from key less system and interface tied to 12v+.I've got the horn working but nothing else so far.I can hear relays clicking in key less system but nothing happens.I've tried putting the blue and green wires from the interface to the blue/black and GREEN/ black from the key less system but no luck yet.

This interface was previously used with the old key less system.I ckecked for voltage on the data wire and it was a constant 12v when I tried to lock doors no variation at all.The old key less system smelt burnt when I pulled it out could it have burnt out the interface as well. And how would u chech for that.
