hey guys! i use to install a remote starter for automatic transmission. What is the difference of  installing a remote starter into a manual transmission? is it the same to the AT?

i am installing a Nordic start NS-1084hf for 1998 honda civic manual transmission.

thanks in advance

If on the instructions it says auto only or there are no settings for a man transmission don't do it, it will start the car in gear and if you're on a hill.......

Is the remote start unit designed for use with a manual transmission?

We cannot advise you on how to bypass the clutch! The starter should have some form of way to ensure the vehicle is in neutral when remote start is desired for the next time you want to!

It will be the only wire connected to the switch that is located at the pivot point of the emergency brake lever.

the differance between a manual vs auto is:

for manual, you must hook up door triggers, parking brake, clutch bypass, tach(voltage sense will not work), and you follow a sequence to set the unit for reservation mode, which allows you to start the vehicle
