Ok this is what I got. My wife’s car has the Compustar r1600 one way AM  installed. It has the cm3300 brain. My question is does anyone know if it has the remote start feature. I see that the remote does have the option however I am not sure if the brain does, maybe it’s not wired up for that. Is there anyway to see if it can be enabled or if I need a new system for it. I am very capable of doing the work my self. I have all the wiring diagrams for it but not sure if I need other parts or if it’s just wiring. It’s not very descriptive in the wiring part. I’m not totally sure what signals I would need whether (+) or (-) I know how to use a multimeter and have all the tools necessary. Thanks for the help in advance.

this is an alarm only,

you will need to find a CM3200 or CM3000 brain.

Anyone know of a place that just sells the brain?

if your in the states your best bet would be lesscoelectronics

finding a 3x00 series brain is probably very hard.

you might just concider upgrading to the cm5x00 or cm6x00 brains. those are widely available. The wiring is the same throughout the generations.
