Hello everyone. I recently bought a 2002 Chevy Avalanche 1500 (Z71) that had a hornet 476T keyless remote. I replaced the battery but have no idea how to re-program or even find out if it still works. I cant find anything on the net that gives instructions on how to do this. Any help would be appreciated......Ron

I am not familiar with Hornet alarms, but I find it hard to believe that you would have to reprogam a remote after simply replacing a battery, either the vehicle battery or the remote battery.

I wouldnt think so either but it doesnt work and 2 people suggested I do this. I really have no idea what to do. All I know is that it doesnt do anything at all but the green light comes on when i hit the buttons.

Is there an LED mounted somewhere in the vehicle?  Is it lit up?  Have you located the alarm brain?  Is it connected?

Yes. There is a little red light in the dash but it doesnt light up. And no, I havnt located it yet. I will try and do that but I was hoping there was something simple i could do first. I'm trying to avoid taking it somewhere to have it fixed.
