Hello ,

I recently has a Astrostart RS-5224 remote start installed on my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500. I lost the feature of when you press unlock doors on the factory key fob the cargo light in the bed would also turn on. With my Astrostart key fob when I press unlock the cargo light does not come on. Does anyone know how to make this work ?

I like having my cargo light on when I unlock the doors.
Thanks !

Thanks but how would I do this ??

I am kind of a newbiw with this.

If I may ask is there a way to hook up to my heated seats to have them come on also with the push of a button ??

Have them connected to the defroster output on the remote start.

Send a positive 1 sec signal thru a 120ohm resisttor to the lt grn/dk grn (driver) , lt grn/wht (passenger) which are located behind the switch. Pulse again to turn off. This will turn the seats onto the high position.

As for losing the cargo light, I wasn't aware that anything should change when unlocking with the rs remote.

Yes for some reason when unlocking with RS remote my cargo light does not come on and with factory remote it does come on. I'm going to call the shop in Saskatoon where I got it done to see if they know about this as I just had it installed last week
