I have a 2000 Toyota Tundra automatic 4 wheel drive access cab (aka extended cab). It is mainly my work truck so I got a used CM4200 Compustar brain out of a crashed car. Cleaned it all up and wired it in. Install was a cake walk needing no relays at all. Everything on the truck matched up with the wiring on the brain including the jumper for the second ignition which was quite handy. I’ve installed a few units in the past and I was mainly interested with the remote starter and keyless on this truck. I also wanted a basic alarm meaning if the brain sees a door trigger it would honk the horn. Old units I installed in the past did this sort of thing. I hooked up the horn honk wire and it honks when locking, unlocking, remote starting etc.; but it doesn’t honk when I open the door manually without hitting open on the remote. I know the brain sees the trigger because it sets the two-way remote off (see attached video, note I wait for the cargo light to turn off before opening the door).

Is there a way I can get the CM4200 to honk the horn if a door input is triggered?

The truck had an OEM security system pictured below which did not function. Or at least I couldn’t get it to function by locking doors manually, with the key, passenger side etc. I took it out while I was installing the CM4200 since everything was on jumper harnesses. There was only one wire that was stray and it was sitting near the ignition key cylinder. It could have been for key sense but I’m not sure. I could easily put this back in as everything is there I just don’t know where the arm/disarm wires are. I tried looking/Googling for a while and came up with nothing.

Does anyone have the factory security wiring diagrams? Or can anyone tell me the where arm/disarm wires are and where the stray gray wire goes to?

Another question I have is with the remotes/antennas. With the brain I got one of the antennas with the button on the front. I bought a new blue remote (pictured below) and tried to program it in. It programmed just fine however there was no feedback for the two-way; the remote behaved as if it was one-way only. So I tried a different antenna and programmed an 8000 remote in and now the two way works. I don’t want to use the 8000 remote as this is my work truck and it will get scuffed/wrecked. I tried three different stubby antennas (like the ones pictured in the install manual below) and they all behaved the same with (no feedback).

Is there a way to program the stubby antenna with the blue remote below?
