well ive had my compustar pro alarm in my '94 ranger (manual transmission)for about a year and a half, installed by myself, worked perfect

i belive the brain is a cm4000 and the package is 2w9000fm-as or something close to thatcompustar pro remote start problems -- posted image.

long story short, i lost my remote so i just disconected the main harness wire for the brain for the past week until i got a replacement remote

got the remote today, plugged brain back in and programmed remote, so far so good

i then noticed it wasnt going into reservation mode so i remembered that i had to program the tach sensing wire or w.e

i tried doing it(at idle foot break on press remote start button) but i keep getting an error 2-key in off positon , i also noticed that the anti-grind feature is also not working

the brain is a pain in the butt to get to and i cant really manuver it at all, im 99% sure all connections are fine, dont want to take my dash apart to eff with this thing, i just want to know where to start. everything is soldered and am confident in all my connections, theres pobably something i forgot i have to program or something like that....nothing has changed other than the 1 connection being unplugged....

thanks for any help guys and gals!

Check to make sure that the CN2 harness did not partially pull out. Since you" unplugged " the CN1 harness, chances are the CN2 harness has one corner pulled out.... its happened to me lots when I cable tie the CPU up into the dash and realize later that I did it too tight.
