auto start problems with viper 1500 esp

I have a 2001 Kia Optima with a 2.4 liter engine. The car has a Viper 1500 ESP and has worked fine for over a year. Recently the Auto Start started malfunctioning. The car tries to start but just turns over and never starts up. I goes through all 3 attempts and just stops. I have looked through the installation guide and upped the crank time to 1.6 seconds and turned the voltage check to Low, but it still does the same thing. Any ideas what would cause this? thanks in advance for any help.

What happens if you put a key in the ignition and then try to remote start the car?  Do not turn the key to the on position, just stick it in the barrel.When all else fails, Read the Instructions

I just went out and tried it and it does the same thing.

it sounds like one of the main power wires could have a blown fuse or you could have a loose connection on one of the ignition wires. was it professionally instealled? if so take it back to that shop and have them look at it. if all else fails the system has a lifetime warranty.

You could try turing the key on after triggering the RS, THEN if it starts you know that the RS is not  powering up something at the ignition that it it should be.   

It's not much help in fixing it yourself, it'll still require a vist back to the installer for repair.
