Hi there, I have recently bought a second hand Clifford Concept 650 MkII alarm system which I am trying to fit into my 2003 MG ZR 2.0TD. I am fine with all of the connections other than the 8 black wires that are for the immobiliser/power for the main unit of the alarm. I have downloaded the installation guide for the alarm and it says that there should be 2 4-pin blocks connected to these wires which are ...
H4 Plug Connector (female)
12v Constant
Earth/Ground
Earth/Ground
Light Flash Input
H3 Connector (male)
Starter Car Side
Starter Key Side
Ignition Car Side
Ignition Key Side
I just wondered if somebody on here could point me in the right direction as the which wire is which as if you take the top cover off the main alarm unit the wires are numbered 1-8 on the circuit board but not in numerical order. It would be excellent if someone could tell me which number on the main board corresponds to on the list above.
Thanks in advance,
howie ll

Do you have the valet or pin number for this unit? If you don't forget it.
You could contact Armour Auto for the pin outs but unless you are a recognised installer they won't help. I always use colour coded shrink sleeving when I remove them.
Simpler to go to a dealer and ask them to get you a new immobiliser power and earth loom.
I could probably do it on the bench using a meter and Cliffnet Wiz.

I have got the PIN code for the alarm. I'm not sure if you can get a new immobiliser loom for the alarm unless you solder it straight to the circuit board. I just need the pin outputs and it would solve all problems.
The person that took the alarm out didn't take the time to heat shrink or label anything, OK when the wires are colour coded but not as easy when the wires are all black.

Then go to a Clifford Dealer and ask them to order you the loom, it will be easier long term or if you're in North London I can work out the leads for you, else contact Armour Auto on 0800 7839125 for a local dealer.

I have e-mailed Armour Auto to see if they can tell me the outputs for each wire. Hopefully they will get back to me and if not it will be a new loom.
How much roughly do you think a new loom would be?

Used to be about £20 for the black loom, personally I'd get the other two looms as well. That's what I always quoted when doing a refit unless I first removed it.
