I have checked the door jamb switch and it appears to be working fine.  The problem is, the interior lights won't go off even with the door closed.  The switch to turn the light off and on also doesn't work - the light will stay on.  The interior lights should also go off when I lock the car with my alarm or turn on the ignition switch but it doesn't.  Any ideas on why the lights continously stay on?  Thanks.

Does anyone know where the relay that controls the lights are? When we close the door, the lights don't instantly go off..it takes some time for it to slowly dim out. There must be something that controls this. I checked the door jamb switch and its fine.  BTW, it's a 96 Camaro.

Do you have an alarm on it now, the brain may have a short in it, or if you don't the headlight switch may be bad.

Make sure the passenger door is shut and the hatch.

If you just installed the alarm, make sure the doors are diode isolated.
