i have an 07 f150 four door, installing a viper 5901. i have everything hooked up except the door triggers. i have read that you have to diode isolate the door triggers but i was also told by someone that you could possibly hook the door trigger wire to the dome light wire and it should do the same thing. does anyone know if this is true?? also, i checked the tech sheet for my vehicle and the dome light wire is not on the diagram..does anyone know what it is??
and i was also told that you had to use 8 diodes for the door triggers...is that true or do you only need 4, one on each door trigger wire..

If the sheet has four wires listed you'll need 4 diodes.  If there are only 2 wires listed (common passenger doors) you'll only need 2.

I would recomend using the door pins and not the dome light.  It takes an extra few seconds to put the diodes in but after it is done you don't have to worry about false trigger beeps from the dome light delay.

It's 8 Kevin if you use the Ford/DEI 1076, available in the downloads here. The back four to knock out feedback from the sleeper circuit.

Also, using the dome light on this truck for door trigger.... if you manually shut the dome light off, you have NO door protection.... I  done dis one. oops!
