Does a relay have to be used to control the door locks on 2005 aveo?  or can one just use the negative lock and unlock wires from a remote starter to control the lock an unlock function from the remote start remote

This info from Audiovox :

Power Unlock  LT.GREEN  (-)  DOOR LOCK MODULE
PowerLock     GRAY             (-)  DOOR LOCK MODULE

This info from Bulldog Security :

POWER LOCK            GRAY (TYPE B)                       @ CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING MODULE, See NOTE *1
POWER UNLOCK      LIGHT GREEN (TYPE B)      @ CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING MODULE, See NOTE *1
NOTE *1 the CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING Module is located in the PASSENGER KICK PANEL.

Should be OK to connect directly from remote start to car without any relays.

Soldering is fun!
