bmw trunk trigger

1998 BMW 7 Series Compustar CM6000 Used the trunk light wire for the (-)trunk trigger. After closing the trunk and arming the system. The trunk trigger will alert, after 20 minutes or so. I then opened the trunk and closed the latch to simulate a closed trunk. I visually confirmed that after about 20 minutes the trunk light does briefly turn on for .5 seconds. But its enough to trigger the alarm. I then isolated the latch wire, in the latch itself. It shows ground when closed and no voltage when the trunk is open. So I would like to know if there is a way to wire up a relay to energize, using a ground to a no voltage pulse.DTS Performance

Take the trunk interior light feeds, RED / yellow (in other words the constant feed (s) to the trunk illumination, probably RED / yellow insert a 1N4004 diode in line to each bulb with the diode band towards the bulb that will stop the problem. Now what was the question, oh forget that here's the reason. The light units get a test pulse, either from the sleeping processor when it "wakes" up every 20 minutes or so or sometimes even when turning on the alarm, the 12v+ feeds "spike". At least that's my procedure on E46 3 series, and there ain't much difference in the wiring. Those two diodes will cost you about 1% of the price of a relay.
