Hello Guys!

I'm installing a remote start on a 1989 Honda Civic LX gas, 4 Door, the model of remote start is AutoMate AM7. After Installation of Relay Satellite, i connect the module ground only and connect the ribbon harness from module to relay satellite and try if remote start will activate. when i press * on the button twice no respond from the module box or relay satellite. what else wire do i need to conect for it to work? below is the illustration of relay satellite connection.

Purple - starter motor side (i cut the wire and connect the BK/W going to starter motor)

Green - starter key side (i connect the BK/W going to ignition key)

Red 12 V - i connect to W/BK from igition switch harness

Orange - accessory 1 connected to Yellow of ignition switch harness

Pink - ignition ouput connected to BK / YELLOW from ignition switch harness as this is the ignition wire.

Red 12 V - connected to another constant 12V wire in the ignition switch harness.

Everytime i try to remote start i check the voltage on the BK / YELLOW wire but there seems to be no voltage coming out. hope anyone can help me on this.

Also, added that i connected also the 12V Red color from the Module to constant 12V to power the module itself. what seems to be the problem? do i need to connect everything?

Hello! Guys!

Just for everyone knows, i have successfully run my remote start, i just connect the neutral safety input and everything works fine. that's one of the safety that automate or dei electronics created to disable remote start when this wire is not on.

thanks and hope i can help you out guys too!
