A customer called today for a price on a remote start on a 2010 jeep wrangler. I asked the lady if the head of her key was black or gray. She said black. So I figured no chip in the key. But without seeing it I'm worried that it may be a sentry key? Just wondering if anyone knows if some jeeps may not have a chip in the key. Being a 2010 I'm not sure. I've always gone by the gray/black rule but not sure if it's still accurate. If it does have the chip I have a xpresskit XK09 bypass that will work. Just hoping it doesn't have it. Thanks.

did a 2011 which is the same thing. you will probably need the xk09. unless its a stripped down model. alot of the new wranglers are coming with fob keys with transponders
