I have just installed a viper 5101 and xk01 module in my 04 cadillac escalade and for the life of me i cant seem to figure out where the ign 2 wire goes to keep the chk eng light from coming on when using the remote start i get 6 codes all for the transmission, with all the diagrams I've come across it tells me its a white wire in the ign column harness the only one i seen is a really small one by the top left corner of the connection block but i still get the eng light using that wire?
I've found this guide on here https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~45596 but i don't have access to directechs

Never worked on one, but according to both Audiovox and Directech...there should be a white wire in the ignition harness.

If anything....take a pic of the wires in the ignition harness.

it's a white wire in the ignition harness taht will test as an ignition....
DO NOT DRIVE IT AFTER REMOTE STARTING I WITHOUT THAT HOOKED UP. It WILL cause damage.
A DMM is a beautiful thing.
