Hey guys, I did a remote start install on an 0 silverado that is a diesel. I am using a 457gw bypass per the tech sheet listed here on the site. For some reason the security light is on and the truck will only run for 15 seconds and then shut off and keep turning on and shutting off. The bypass didn't tell me what passlock wire to cut, so I did some research and cut the yellow wire and used that. I'm not sure what the problem is. When I looked at the instructions that came with the bypass it said that if the security light comes on then you have to cut a pink or white wire instead of the yellow wire. The remote starter is an avital 4103 and is set on the virtual voltage sense. Any ideas?

Why not just bypass it the "old school way" using 2 relays and a resistor.
Either way on that truck you should be using either the tach wire at the cluster or a 454t tach generator by dei.
A DMM is a beautiful thing.
