I have a 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 w/HEMI and Automatic. I would like to know if there is any way to increase the run time on the factory remote start to longer than the 10 minutes it seems to be at now. I live in Northern Ontario and nights get cold (-18..-25 w/windchill)while the days warm up a little but not dramatically. It's not like the North pole or anything but you folks in Minnesota and the UP of Michigan know what I mean....I'm friggin' freezing!!

A 2004 with a factory remote start? I am pretty sure that is an aftermarket system in there. If you can find out the exact make and model of the system, post it here and someone can tell you if its possible and how to extend the run time.
Maybe take a picture of your remote control and post it?

The key fob is black and shaped like a square. with a single button that has a key logo on it. Below the button is a red LED and above the button is a sticker with of course, the RAM's head logo and Dodge on it.
There are numbers on it but my eyesight is crap in artificial light so I can't really help out an further. I'll take another look in the daylight tomorrow and provide numbers and hey... a picture would probably work to eh!! Till tomorrow then.

Okay, here's some pics of what is apparently a remote fob made by Code Systems Inc. See there's a Dodge logo on the front but I guess it's what you'd call "factory aftermarket"? Anyway, FCC ID # is GOH-PCMINI if that helps anybody out sorry, I have a pretty crappy camera eh!

Okay guys, problem solved!!! I was able to access the Code Systems Tech Services web page and found an installation manual for their MOPAR remote start systems. The default run time is 10 minutes but it can be programmed for 15 minutes instead. I will do the reprogram and let you know how I make out.

You figured it out before I got back to the thread. Yes, you are correct that is a dealer installed Code Alarm piece branded as Dodge. Let us know how it goes.
