hi guys i just need to make sure  i did not  put a checking engine lights   on a car , i just put a remote starter on 2000 mazda mpv , i ussually do a check on the car if it has any problems but this time i didnt  ,the thing is the remote starter works just fine, but when i look at the cluster i see the checking engine light on,  the guy doesnt remenber if it was there  before  ,my question is ,is there any way that even if i installed the remote starter right that the engine lights can still go on?

Yes, your remote start can indeed trigger a fault code and turn on check engine light. Did you power both ignition wires and keysense? What is the make and model of the system you installed?
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

avital 4103,yes i have both ign wires connected ,but not have a  keysense wire connected because that its just to make factory alarm disarm no unlock so i have used the unlock wire .for disarm,thanks for help me with it
