Ok here what is going on I have a 2002 ford excursion diesel I have a viper 5901 and remote start hooked up but I can not figure out how to get the power locks to work with the alarm remote I am using the lock and unlock harness to connect to the vsm but the only time they actually work is if i unhook the wire and reconnect it. I have tryed to check foe output voltage but have had no luck is ther something I am missing?  I thought that the door lock harness would connect directly to the lock/unlock wires on the vehical. am I wrong do i need a relay off of these wires?

thanks

So you hooked the blue unlock and green lock wires from the 5901 to the BLACK/ white unlock and WHITE/ red lock wires in the truck?

Due To Accessory Power Loss At Generic Electronic Module,Power Door Locks Will Become Inoperable 2 Minutes After Last Door Is Locked And Closed. The G.E.M Will Remain Without Power Until Either Door Is Opened. To wake up the G.E.M Send A Negative Pulse To The YELLOW/BLACK at Driver Door Pin Wire With the Unlock Pulse. Diode Isolate Cathode Band Side Of Diode Faces Unlock wire from alarm.YELLOW/BLACK Located At The Vehicle Security Module (VSM) Located Behind Center Dash Panel.
