I have a Python 1601 that I installed in a 2007 Toyota Highlander. I hooked the door locks up using the Directed tech tip, with the diodes and relay inside the driver door. Everything works, except for the ignition controlled locking.
If the driver's seat belt is fastened prior to the lock, the doors will not lock. I can hear my relay clicking, so I know the remote start is sending the lock command. I also tried to lock the doors with my spare key in the door to rule out the remote start, and had no luck. (Everything works if the seat belt is not fastened)
Therefore, it appears that the Highlander is disabling the lock/unlock from the key cylinder while the ignition is on and the seat belt is fastened. Does anyone know how to bypass this, or turn it off?
Thanks!

Test which wire is losing power or getting power when you fasten the seat belt and use a relay to have that split when the locks are triggered.
I would double check all the diodes are working correctly again just in case one broke from slight bend or something of that nature.
More then likely if they work fine and then dont for some reason its the lock detection wire causing the issue.

Another thing you could always do 5wi set up since you dont have to go into the doors.
