I have a Avital 4103 on a 2003 Ford Expy that I installed 3 months ago, thanks to the help of this fine forum! Everthting has worked perfectly up to a few days ago. My wife is the primary driver, and the other day she said when the auto headlights turned on at dusk, the dash, ( lights and gauges), turned off then on, the radio kicked off then on at the same time, and the warning chime came on. It was almost as if the the truck turned off then on! But the engine did NOT turn off. It has done this for 3 days now, and only when the auto lights come on. Happened to me this afternoon at the carwash. As soon as it did it, the interior acted as if I turned the key off then back on. I suspect the remote starter. Any thoughts? Or anybody else have this problem?

What did you use for a bypass module, and where did you get your system ground from?
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

The bypass is a Universal (Bulldog?) due to the fact I had 2 DEI modules not work on the truck. Screwed with them for a week, and nothing. So I got another brand just to see what was up, and it worked perfectly. As for the ground, that is under the dash on a bolt, by itself, with a ring terminal.

Not sure what a Ford Expy is.  Explorer, Expedition, Excursion?

Being as this only happens when the auto-headlights activate, temporarily disconnect your remote starter connection to the parking lights.  Verify the parking lights and headlights still work OK then see if that changes the symptoms when the auto-headlights come on.

Soldering is fun!
