Last week someone try to break into my car, but lucky they failed.

I am think of installing a  car system with (automatic lock and unlock, panic buttom, engine disable if a someone tries to hotwire the car.)

I can't decide whether to go with the Matrix1 or Matrix3 or Viper 300, 500, or 600.

Do you have any suggestions and if you do why would you recommend on over the other?

Thanks,

Quincy

I used to like Clifford brand a lot but now they are DEI so it doesn't matter, but get something with lifetime warranty,i had two Cliffords and i know they are probably the most reliable brands out there and what i mean by that is ''NO FALSE ALARMS",good luck !

Hey Quincy,

Looks like you did your homework!  Basically the first criteria is your needs then your budget.  The Matrix1 and the Viper 300 are similar but the Viper carries a limited lifetime warranty on the brain.  The 500 has extra channels for future use such as window or sunroof automation or head unit control, etc...The Matrix1 and the 300HF have internal impact sensors,  I prefer external like the 500 (300ESP also has external) the advantage being able to hide the brain.  The 500 isn't "better" than the 300 it just has the extra channels.

In resumé: I'd go with the 500ESP, I've installed tons and they are bullet proof.  What car security system to buy?? -- posted image.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.
