My trunk input(H1/7) on the Viper wants a ground signal when the alarm is armed. If the input is not grounded the keypad says the trunk is open an the alarm sounds. Anyone know whats going on here? I thought the Viper will go off when it see's a ground signal?

Whats the year, make & model of the car? Is this a new system or something that is recently malfunctioning?

Was it installed professionally? If it was I would take it back to where it was installed and have them fix it. The tunk triggers on an 06 LS require a relay to isolate it and prevent feedback. They can commonly send false triggers to the alarm if not wired correctly.
