I recently purchased and installed the Viper 5901 into a 91 Toyota Celica GT4. I have programmed with a bitwritter etc. The problem I have with it is that all steps of the Manual Trans Sequence work fine, with the exception that the vehicle turns off as soon as I turn the ign off to remove the key.
I get the same issue with the turbo timer, as soon as I remove the key the engine turns off and the MTS fails. Any ideas?
If I change it over to Auto transmission and attempt a remote start, it cranks fine, except the vehicle doesnt fire. I am thinking that the I have screwed up something on the heavy guage harness?

Have you wired up ALL the ignition and starter wires? Is there an after market immobiliser no-one knows about?
IMO one of the easiest cars to R/S

Two ignition wires, BLACK/ orange and blue/red.
The BLACK/ orange has to be isolated from the ignition during R/S, see the DEI notes.
2nd ignition, 2 x blue/reds, only wire up the thicker wire.

Guys have wired the heavy gauge as follows
H3/1 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT = Blue/Red   (Celica Ign)
H3/6 RED (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 1 INPUT = Blue/Red (Celica Ign)
H3/2 RED / WHITE (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY INPUT 87 Key Side BLACK/ Orange
H3/8 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A =Key Side BLACK/ Orange
H3/7 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY OUTPUT = Connect Car Side BLACK/ Orange Ign2
Not sure how to isolate the BLACK/ orange ignition during R/S?
Where can I see the DEI notes? Appreciate the help guys.

Oops you've done it right, I don't know what else to suggest.
RED / white goes to a constant power source along with RED / black and red.
Cut BLACK/ orange and then:
Pink/black to key side.
Pink/white to ignition side.

Ok I think I may have just picked up something, I have the H3/2 RED / WHITE (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY INPUT 87 also connected to the key side of the Celicas BLACK/ Orange.
I will try disconnecting that and reconnecting to the Celicas constant 12v (white).

All sorted, Rem start and turbo timer work perfectly. The RED / White needed a constant source. Thank you all.

Has anyone had the Viper 5901 Temperature Check Command not function.
Orignally it worked fine, however noticed now that the Responder remote is not even sending the request. Is there anyway I could have turned it off without knowing. Appreciate any assistance.
