I am at a loss for what is going on with this system. I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix and a Viper 5101. I have tried several different bypasses and finally got the idatalink ads-dlsl gm1 to work properly for the bypass. But during this whole time of checking, double checking, and triple checking connections I have not been able to get the remote start to engage. I have checked to make sure that it is in automatic mode instead of manual. I have done wire to wire connections with no tap locks or t connectors. The keyless entry works perfectly fine but regardless of what I do or try I can not get the unit to remote start. I am by no means a professional but I have installed plenty of remote starts and other audio/video equipment in vehicles. Someone please help me figure out what is going on with this unit before I lose my mind. Thanks in advance, B.

I am not completely following. How exactly did you verify the ADS module is working 100% if you have not been able to get it to remote start? I assume you are referring to the door locks/arm/disarm functions.
Let's start here: What did you hook the H2/18 BLACK/ White wire to?
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Yes I am referring to the lock/unlock, trunk, etc... functions. I have no H2/18. My H2 is on a 7pin harness. If you are referring to the BLACK/ white neutral safety switch input, I have that going to ground.

What happens when you attempt a remote start?  Any Parking Light error code flashes?

Did you go W2W?  Did you connect the iDatalinks' Blue/White GWR wire to the Vipers Blue (-) 200mA Status Output wire?

Can you list the H3 wire connections to the car?

Soldering is fun!

What happens when you try to remote start the car? Do the dash lights come on but the engine doesnt crank? Did you program the PK3 of the idatalink bypass? What wiring diagram did you use from the idatalink guide?

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
