Sorry guys but its yet another diy remote start and alarm system install with very little success. It is a Carvox C-999 rs and alarm system using a 1701G GM database interface as the bypass module. I am installing this into a 2006 Silverado Crew cab automatic transmission 2WD.  So here goes the problems:

1)There is a wire coming from the bypass module that is supposed to be connected to the (CAN) wire at the OBD II connector which is listed as a light green wire in the first pin slot at the connector. Problem is I only have 4 wires coming off of the OBD II and the first pin slot is empty but the wires I do have the colors are as follows: Purple, black, BLACK/ white, and orange. Purple is pin 2, Black and BLACK/ white are 4,5 respectively and the orange is 16 and reads 12v with a multimeter. Which of these wires should I be connecting to?

2)Yet another wire from the bypass module that is supposed to bypass the Passlock II but the directions only provide a very simplified drawing of how it is supposed to be connected and I myself can not figure it out and I am pretty sure this portion is my major problem. (I will include the install instructions for the bypass module, rs, and a wiring diagram for my truck.)

3)There is a brown wire from the rs that is supposed to be connected to the Parking light outputs and says this can either be + or a - output and to set the internal parking light relay to the correct polarity? When I tested it with the mm I got 12V when lights are off and 0 when lights are on. So i'm not sure on how to change the polarities of the relay.

4)On the rs there are factory arm and disarm wires should I be using these because as of right now they are not connected to any thing.

And finally here are my symptoms: When I connect the bypass and turn the key in the on position it is supposed to light up solid, this doesnt happen which makes me think my problem begins with the bypass module. Also the doors arent doing anything no matter what I try but I did try to lock them and they kept on re-unlocking. The rs is working sometimes but when as soon as it starts up it dies again. I also have an edge cts programmer in my truck and when I have it connected all h*** breaks loose the radio stops working the truck wont start some times its just a giant mess and I very badly need some guidance. I will try to get back on tomorrow and post some pictures of what I have going on and maybe they will help some but I imagine not too much because it looks like a big plate of spaghetti in my floor board.

So here are the links to the components:

Any help would be great guys, Thanks.

When I woke up this morning I went out to start my truck with the key not the remote (since the remote obviously isnt working) and it would not start at all. I used my programmer to read the diagnostic code and it was the anti theft system. So I tore the whole system out except for the power wire hookups and did some research and some guys said you could reset this anti theft by leaving the key in the on position for 10 min well when I went out to try this I noticed the anti theft was not blinking anymore and then the truck started fine with the key. I am so bumfuzzled with this install!

Since you tore it out, might as well take it to a professional, and save yourself the hassle.
