I am installing a hydrogen generator kit in my 1993 Buick LeSabre. It uses 12v relays in the set up. The directions call for spade 30 in the relays to be wired directly to the battery's positive terminal. I don't know how to do that. I'm looking for another way to tie-in to constant 12v power. Ideas, please?

If it calls for a direct connection to the battery, that must mean that it requires more current than any other location can handle.  Do yourself a favor and connect it directly to the battery.  Remember to fuse the wire AT THE BATTERY.

The problem I'm having is this battery does not have a ready "post" to connect to. It has one of those screw-in posts that seems impossible to connect to. I really don't like the idea of stripping away insulation on one of the wires coming off the battery and wrapping the end wires of my project there, either.
I have 15-amp fuses that I will put on each of the 12v leads to the battery, once I find a place or a way to make the connection!

Not that I'm sure what kind of screw-in posts you are referring to (usually and eyelet can also be bolted/screwed), but otherwise maybe off the starter motor. (Usually that has its heavy +12V straight to the battery +12V)
Otherwise the main flink (fuse-link) or fuse box.    
Maybe even the alternator. (Do they still want "max" voltage, or have they sized the cells for operation at (say) 13.8V etc?)

You can purchase side post adapters that will let you use an eyelet to connect directly to the battery.

Go to your local stereo shop and tell them what you are needing to do. There is a replacement bolt available, it replaces the OEM battery bolt and it has an additional mounting location to do exactly what you are trying to do.
