Hey all,
I don't think that I missed this anywhere while trying to search, but forgive me if I have. I currently have an appointment for the installation of the Viper 5901 alarm on my 2010 Ford Fusion Sport next Tuesday. While speaking to my installer, he initially thought that he would be able to wire my moonroof\sunroof to close upon arming the alarm, but has since told me that it would not be possible with the standard DEI window module. As I understand it, this is generally considered correct from postings that I've read regarding multi-function roofs. I only have 2 buttons for the control of the roof, one each for moon and sun. The buttons are auto-open and I simply need to press one or the other for the full motion to occur and stop. My installer said that could leave my vehicle for an extended period and "his guys" would be able to come up with a solution, but I just can't believe that I am the first one to ask for the inclusion of such a feature. If anyone has any thoughts or any firsthand experience in this setup I would greatly appreciate the feedback. I may get at the switch itself and see if it has wire that is specific to the roof being closed. Also, I did notice that some similar questions were raised in other threads and the general consensus may well be that it's not worth the bother. I'm not committed to this as part of the install, but I figure that I have a higher likelihood of leaving my moonroof open than my windows.
Thanks,
tonanzith

Although too complicated to walk you through the procedure I just want to say that for a 2010 ford fusion it would definitely be possible to do with the 529t or 530t or any window module or even a PAC tr-7. I would venture to say that they may have under quoted you for the price of installation and don't want to do it OR lack the experience in the shop to do it in which case I would question having alarm even installed there.
