Hey all I have a 2011 ford fusion and am installing a DEI 504K shock sensor to the factory alarm. I will be taping into the hood pin for the trigger and a constant for power I read on here somewhere that I could go to the ignition with the ground that way when the car was in the run position it would turn the shock sensor off

and when the car was in the off position it would go to ground is that right and do I need any diodes for this any help would be great.
Thanks John

If it is a true ignition i.e. TEST the wire with a meter then yes you could do that and definitely use a diode.
