I was wondering if anyone has used the OEM Honda/acura door lock "buzzer" as its called in the shop manual instead of the Viper siren for the chips sounds??
The specific car is a 2006 Acura TL I've located the wire but haven't had a chance to test it, first I need to make sure it accepts a 12v input anyone know off hand?
Ultimately I would like the OEM buzzer to handle the Viper Chirps but on a full out alarm I want the viper alarm to kick in.
It looks like I might be able to hook the OEM buzzer to the Siren output & the Viper siren to the horn output & program it to only sound in the event of a full trigger.
Does that sound like it would work?

I think the horn output is going to be a pulsed output.  You may need to have the siren wire power a delayed relay.  Until the delay kicks in, the siren output will drive your OEM buzzer.  Then when the delay does activate the relay, then the siren will sound.

Give me a minute and I will find a suitable relay diagram.

Ah yes I didnt think about the horn being pulsed.   I have a simple delay on circuit I have used before.   Just a NPN FET & cap should do the trick.

Are you talking about the electronic beeper that Honda uses? If so, they require a driver circuit. The driver circuit provides the actual current to power the beeper but it also provides the frequency that the beeper beeps at. A constant - or + signal won't make any noises. You will need to drive it with sufficient current somewhere in between 2800hz and 3200 hz.

Ah damn, actually shouldn't my car still make this sound when the viper arms my stock alarm? I guess I will find out tomorrow.

Typically factory arm/disarms are silent with no indication that anything happened. I don't think I have ever seen a car that would flash lights or sound an audible alert when pulsing either the arm or disarm wire.

I realize it does when you push the button on the remote, but it won't when you pulse the disarm or arm wire inside the car with your aftermarket alarm.

30 to siren output from alarm. 87A to peizo buzzer 87 to siren positive wire. Then wire the delay to 85 and 86. the chirps will come from the buzzer. Then when the relay energizes the siren will sound.
