Hello - I have a 2002 Suburban 5.3L LT and have installed an Avital 4103 remote start combined with a universal bypass module Model 791 (made by bulldog). Based on many sources I connected the blue unlock output from the 4103 to the white (A3) wire on the brown plug on the BCM and the green lock output to the blue wire (A4) on the brown plug of the BCM. This does not work. In fact, when i press lock/unlock on my 4103 fob my parking lights flicker once for lock, twice for unlock (or vice-versa) but as it turns out, it does this whether the wires are hooked up or not. Any thoughts out there on why this setup doesnt work? Thanks for your time. Sam
ps - lock/unlock still works fine using my factory fob.......

Did you meter those wires you connected to in the vehicle?  It should be a type A system which is a positive trigger.   The avital is not capable of positive output on those two(green, blue) wires.  You will need a 451m or two spdt relays wired for type A door locks.

Thanks so much dasbogie. I knew there must be an issue as it seemed like the wires on the vehicle were positive. But being a novice and reading too much (probably) I thought maybe they were + or - because it seems as if the 5301 lock/unlock wires are........anyways, I think I will get one of these 451m relays. However, will I need to connect both the blue and white unlock/lock wires as well as the unlock/lock motors to the 451m? Do you know if the factory fob will still work to lock/unlock? OK, again thanks so much. Above and beyond the call of duty.....

your factory fobs will work just fine.  You do not need to interface with the motors just the trigger wires which in your case is blue and white
