Hi, just finished a 2011 Tribute and although there are PURPLE / white wires running in the dkp none will activate the parks.Just wondering if anyone has done one of these and has a location and color wire without going to the fuse panel side of the console. It is a lot of work to go thru to access one wire. Anything at the switch .neg or pos?
thanks Bruce

If the Tribute is like it's Ford counterparts, I'd stay away from the (-) Parking Light wire.   Here is a note from DEI  :

May need to interrupt the headlight switch ground wire when triggering this wire. It is BLACK/ blue at the headlight switch, gray 10 pin plug, pin 7. See Tech Doc 1096 for wiring information.

The (+) Parking Light wire at the SJB is the safe way to go if you can't locate the PURPLE / White wire in the DKP.

Soldering is fun!

If you pry the shifter trim off the center console and then pry up the top of the entire center console, that's all you need to remove.  The PURPLE / white wire is in a plug near the shifter, it will test as +.
