Does anyone have any specific instructions on how to open up a CompuStar 2-way remote? I can no longer feel the microswitch on button #2 (it just disappeared one day, almost like it got pushed in too far), and would like to fix this before winter starts.
Model # is 044jr561fm907 (also known as the 2WFMR I believe). It was installed by an authorized dealer, but it sounds like the warranty is expired, and the dealer is located 40 minutes away, so would like to see if I can fix it myself first.
Any tips/help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Remove the battery and look for the 2 screws.  One under the battery, and the other is just the other side of the battery terminal.

P.S.  I am not sure if the compustar remote is the same, but most of the 2 way remotes come apart like that.

There was a single screw underneath a rubber/plastic stop, which was impossible to extract. I had to twist the antenna a little in order to pop it apart.
Anyways, looks like I am dealing with a broken microswitch:

Guess this is going to be an expensive fix :/
