I'm installing a viper 5301 on a 2008 titan and I'm not getting any ign 1 output from the viper. If I try to start it without the key in the lights in the dash flash and nothing happens. If I put the key in the ON position the starter engages but at no time does the Ign wire put out 12V. Any Ideas? I should also say that this is a factory referb.

What other wires from the heavy gauge harness do you haave connected?  Do you have the fused wires connected to a constant 12 volt source?
When all else fails, Read the Instructions

Did any one mention a by-pass and whether one is required?

I've tried with the key in the ignition too, rulling out the bypass. Also, I belive even without a bypass the Viper would still try to put the power out.

Your wiring appears correct, check the 12V inputs at the 5301 "brain" against a good ground, then check the ign 1 output, pink I believe, see if it's actually showing 12v+ when you engage the RS.
If your inputs re all OK and it still doesn't produce the 12v+ on activating the RS then you have a faulty unit, not a problem that seems to have come up with these.

The 12V signals are good going in. Still no 12V from the Brain. As I said this is a referb so it was a small gamble to begin with. The Dealer I got it from is going through these same steps with me via email then we'll work a swap. Hope it is the box. It's getting cold here in Alaska.

Figured it out. There are a few K Ohms sitting on the brake wire even when it is not pressed. Waisted hours on theis one.
