honda pilot 2010 remote lock unlock

Hello there,

I have “half-installed” Python 1401 remote start with idatalink transponder bypass (similar as the Viper 5101) on my Honda Pilot 2010. What I mean by “half installed” is that I have the remote start part working, however I need some help with the lock/unlock wiring (this is supposed to turn arm/disarm the alarm of the car as well).

Honda Pilot 2010 remote lock/unlock:

POWER LOCK              PINK (TYPE B), See NOTE #2           @ POWER WINDOW Master Switch, (GRAY, 37-Pin Plug) Pin 28  

POWER UNLOCK        WHITE (-) and RED (-) TYPE B, (DOUBLE PULSE Required), See NOTE #2          @ POWER WINDOW Master Switch, (GRAY, 37-Pin Plug) Pins 29 and 31  

NOTE #2: METER THE DOORLOCK WIRES WHILE TURNING THE KEY IN THE DRIVERS DOOR CYLINDER. WHITE IS THE DRIVER DOOR KEY CYLINDER, WHITE IS THE UNLOCK WIRE AND THE RED IS THE DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION WIRE. USE BOTH WIRES AND DIODE ISOLATE EACH.

I found the pink, white and red wires at the Power Window Master Switch. Now the issue I have is what do I connect these three wires to? I spend a good part of my weekend trying to make it work, however unsuccessfully. This is what I had:

1. Program the unlock output for double pulse.2. Python’s lock output (Door lock harness, 3-pin connector) to the pink lock wire (Power Window Master Switch). 3. Python’s unlock output (Door lock harness, 3-pin connector) to the white unlock wire (Power Window Master Switch) (diode insolated).4. Python’s domelight supervision output, to the red unlock detection wire (Power Window Master Switch) (diode insolated).

What am I missing here? Please advice!

Your supposed to tie the white and red together, both to the unlock on the Python. Add a diode to each wire with the band towards the Python brain.Mike M2

That sounds about right. I use one-button Audiovox starters that have no domelight output, so I do it a little differently, but yours should work. ---To lock the doors, make sure hood is closed and car is off. I always forget..........I think hood closed, car on, is OK......hood open, car off, is OK.......but if you do both together, locking is disabled. Anyway, just shut car off and close hood. ---You can probably see that the domelight supervision wire is being used to supply a ground to the unlock detection wire. Try this: Lock car. Reach into window, unlock driver's door by hand. Press Unlock on transmitter. If the unlock works after you've first unlocked the driver's door by hand, you know the problem is with your dome supervision going to that wire.....go in and test it and see what's going on.

if that vehicle follows recent Honda practice with a factory dome light delay then dome light supervision isn't necessary.
