Just installed a Viper 5501 in a '04 F-350 and I'm getting 8 flashes when trying to remote start the truck. This is typically a Neutral Safety Switch error. I have verified a good ground on the neutral safety sensor input and that the switch provided on the unit is in the ON position.
Is this a board defect or have I missed something here?

OK, I've managed to track down the issue but still require help. With the H1 harness plugged in, I'm getting 11v on the input side of the neutral safety switch which I'm guessing isn't suppose to be there. If I ground out that leg of the switch, it starts by remote.
Does this mean a bad board?

Hey buddy... Im in the exact same boat as you are... Does the H1/10 have to be (-) pulsed in order to start? If so what would do that without a physical switch?
Best of luck. I hope we dont both have bad brains!

DUH.... the toggle switch has to be plugged in and in the ON position.
Hope this was overlooked on yours too.
