I have a 2010 GMC Sierra Z71 in my shop and I was going to use a Xpresskit DB-ALL to do the install but I would like to do a type 2 install for the lower power consumption.
My problem is this, my boss switched to Xpresskit as our primary module and stopped ordering ALCA modules but never ordered any Xpresskit RFLOOPS. I am sitting on a ton of iDatalink RFLOOPS though and am curious if they will work with a Xpresskit if the ends are swapped to fit. Has anyone tried this?
The wiring looks similar enough and I personally cannot see any reason why it shouldn't but I would like to know before I get to into the job.

Turns out it works as I expected.
I took a valet button and cut off the last 3 inches (including the plug) and used that to plug into the Xpresskit module. I then cut one plug off the short wires with the iDatalink CONNEC rfloop module and soldered the valet buttons plug on instead to switch the CONNEC from a 3 pin plug to a 2 pin plug. After that I just programmed it as per the iDatalink CONNEC instructions and hooked it up to my Xpresskit module.
