Hello,

I searched on the forum and could not locate the information I am looking for.  The instructions with the W01F are lacking and I need to know how to wire the two systems together.  I understand what to do with the horn, parking lights, etc, I just don't completely understand how to connect the door lock actuators to the Avital 2101L.

Not that it matters for this case, but the vehicle is a 1975 International Scout II.

I would like the drivers door to unlock with one push and the passenger to unlock with the second.  The avital has a blue wire labeled H1/2 for this purpose.

The wires of the Avital are labeled:

H1/5 GREEN/ Black Lock #30 common Output

H1/6 WHITE/ Black Lock #87A Normally Closed

H1/7 Violet/Black Lock #87 Normally Opened

H1/8 Unlock #30 Common Output

H1/9 Violet Unlock #87 Normally Open Input

H1/17 BROWN / Black Unlock #87A Normally Closed

The instructions say the brown and purple wires should to used on the W01F.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Greg

Assuming the MES kit has the blue relay, use this diagram:- mes_+_avital.bmp
Note, WHITE/ black from Avital isn't used.
Install your lock kit first, then:-
Ground purple then brown wires you mentioned above from the WO1F, one will lock, the other unlock. My diagram assumes brown is lock, if I'm wrong just change them over.
Don't connect the purple and brown to the actuator on the passenger side, it often gives grief.

Hello,

Quick question for Howie based on the wiring diagram he attached.  In the Avital kit, the Violet and Violet/bleck wires are tied together as a fused 12V input.  Based on your diagram, it looks like I should cut the Violet/Black and change it to ground?  Is that correct?

Thanks,

Greg
