I just had a Viper 5704 installed in my 2008 Toyota Tundra. I am looking for some way to make the 5704 control via one of the extra auxillary outputs or maybe even a 530T module to activate the FRONT window defogger. Also I would like to control my side view mirror defogger/icer.

Has anybody tried this? It doesn't seem to be that complicated or difficult to do. It would just require the right wire and knowing how to trigger the affect (mirrors or window defogger).

Am I think ing to far outside the box for a VIper system?

Any ideas would be appreicated.

The 530t is a window closer, don't you mean a 528t timer module?
You need to know the defogger circuitry for rear screen and mirrors before you go ahead.

I was using the 530T module as an example....

Also, I am looking at using the FRONT window defogger , not the rear...I will find out the front window defogger circuit and the side mirror defroster circuit IF Viper 5704 actually will work for this little project....

I checked up no parts needed:-
Rear defog Green latched* -, driver kick panel, grey 20 pin plug, pin 3.
Mirrors, Blue latched* -, rear of dashboard fuse box, white 66 pin plug, (marked DD) pin 19.
*Latched means you ground it momentarily to activate after R/S has started the engine, ground again to disable it/them.

We crossed posts, can't help you with the front, sorry. And the 530t isn't a good example, I wouldn't even need it for mirror fold.

So for the side mirror defrost/defog the 5704 already has provisions for this?

I have no info on front but for the mirrors and rear just use one* or 2 aux outputs set as momentary or linked if possible to remote start.
* If you use one, diode separate them.
