Is the white parking light output on the current DEI alarms a fairly high current negative output? when it says "must use relay" on the diagram - does this white wire have enough current to push this type of circuit directly?
I assumed since it has a fuse, that it IS of a higher current, but I'm just not sure on this, and I just did it in a 06 Dodge Ram that required a 1200 ohm resistor inline too, and it worked, but I'm just foggy on resisted negative circuits, and weather the output is going to burn out over time.
On the new Viper alarms (external shock sensor) does the green loop go on the shock sensor side, or the alarm side? I've had 2 in a row not work. I have not tried switching the loop side to the brain.
Is the thick pink ignition wire on an Avital 4111 1-button remote start an input as well as an output? The FLCAN I did today wanted me to hook a wire to the input (I think the thick wire senses ignition at times, so I assume it is an input, but the manual says "output", so I am a bit confused.

The positive parking light output has a 10amp fuse in it...so it can handle 10amps. When using the jumper to set it for negative output it is a low current output, just enough to drive a relay.
If the parking lights are working and you used that circuit to turn on a relay you should have no troubles. When DEI mentions "must use a relay" on that Dodge...they are saying you should use the relay to isolate that wire away from the switch, otherwise your R value will be incorrect. Most of the time, this winds up turning on the headlights too when under RS.
The thick pink on the Avital piece does both, it provides output to the vehicle and input to the brain (for programming and such).
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

I also figured out the loop goes on the shock sensor side.
Thanks for the reply.
