avital 4003l wont enter program mode

I have installed an Avital 4003 in my 2009 Maxima. I wired the starter output to trigger the brake pedal and the - starter output (on the satellite harness) to push the start button. The system works properly. I cant however get the system into program mode. I want to program it to take 3 pulses to activate, currently it is one.

Here are some possible issues: I payed for an Avital 4003L, the box used to say 4113 and it has a 4003L sticker over it. The unit itself says 4X03. The manual that came with it is a manual for a 4113. The 4113 has remotes that come with it, I did not get any remotes and I am using the factory remotes. I have used the 4003L and 4113 install guides to try and get into program mode. Nothing works. I have never seen the LED turn on at all, even when doing a remote start. Please help, I have everything working but this and I am banging my head into a wall.

Also do to the install on the IKey system (ant not using an XPresskit) I knew that once the car was remote started it would not be able to kill its self. I did not need to wire accesory outputs, I also did not wire door lock or unlock because I dont want the system controling that. As I said everything works as I thought it would according to how I installed it, but I cant program. Thanks

I believe the pink ingition wire acts as an input a well as an outputIf i Can't Install it    I Don't need it   Joe

Yeah youre right. The manual says output, but it is an input too. Since I dont needed it I temporarily hooked the orange and pink wires to the acc 12v socket and it went through. Thanks guys for making me think about that. Love this forum, you guys are great!

Hello All, I have been working on an Avital 4003 remote start with a PL DATA III (crime stopper) bypass module. I must be missing a few wires because nothing happens when I press the lock button or unlock button 3 times (or more). It seems like the Avital unit is not getting the 'signal' to 'activate' or start the truck. Here is a list of what I have connected: Primary Harness (H1) H1/1 - Factory Alarm Disarm (Lt.
