Hey fellow Members Good afternoon, Have some questions regarding my setup. I'm a ole school installer and been out of the game until recently. I'm very familiar with reading schematics and understanding the 12v system
My Project- 2005 Chevy Suburban 4x4 Z71 (Z 6th didget vin code FlexFuel)Viper 5701 2-way/ Express Kit By-pass XK09- 9.DLPKGM v2.06 (Wired as D2D) I already know- This is prob my first mistake..lol Which I will most likely be changing to W2W
Everything has been installed smoothly and for most part everything seems to be going great except for running into few snags while programing and fine tuning to my personal needs. I'm trying to keep the Horn Honk and Driver Unlock on first unlock command Other doors on second pulse. I'm confused because to my understanding the firmware I'm using should already be controlling the Horn Honk so based on the issues I'm hearing regarding the xk09 bypass other people are also having issues with this firmware not working with certain options. Before I even mess with W2W I'm debating changing the Bypass to different type. I have also tried hard-wiring the horn output (BROWN / black wire) to BCM Pin B9 (Black Wire)still not getting the Honk on commands so I assumed it was in the alarms setting and in using my Bitwriter with latest version It appears its programed correctly but still no luck. Also I can't figure out how to retain the Factory Setting for Driver Unlock on first command. Again tried playing with Bitwriter settings without any luck. If anyone could shed some light it would be much appreciated. These are minor issues but I'm very picky when it comes to my installs not to mention this is my personal vehicle. All Connections are soldered everything tested with DMM prior to connecting. The lock commands I don't mind as much it's kinda nice for unlock all on first command but would prefer not keeping it this way since from time to time my wife drives this vehicle and sometimes leaves work late night. Using bypasses is a new territory for me as well as the Option of using a Bitwriter. Technology has come a long way since I've done R/S Installs.

Well I was able to figure out my issue with the horn. After I hardwired the horn to BCM I guess it was working only when alarm was triggered not with arm/disarm chirps. I changed the bitwriter setting off of full alarm only i mis-understood this setting and thought it meant opposite. So my only issue now is changing the door locks to unlock driver only on first command if someone can assist with what the settings should be?
