Have you guys noticed any oddities with the Compustar CM6000 and tach signals? On 2 cars I've done now I have connected tach and programmed it fine. On both cars I started it up, let the initial rpm boost settle, then programmed tach. And both people have told me that when the car is warm and they try to start it, that it over-cranks for about 5-6 seconds.
I'm not sure if maybe its because it is programming at a higher tach rate b/c the engine is not up to running temp, and then when its warm the rpm's aren't getting high enough for the Compustar to recognize???
Any advice?

never had an issue with overcrank. i always update the brain to the newest firmware just incase, so maybe the newer firmware fixes the problems.
never heard or experienced a 5-6 second over crank on a compustar unit either. i have seen maybe .2 of a second over crank from using data bypass tachs. Other than that, try updating the brain kenny.
If you need the flash files PM me.

I just picked up the OP500 programmer yesterday and it came with the update cable for my laptop. I'll have to check with it and see. I haven't experience either one, but they both said 5-6 seconds and they are both knowledgeable when it comes to cars so I don't think they are exaggerating.
