Hi all,
Having some trouble working out how to wire in my Talon alarm with remote start. I have the alarm side of things all wired up without a problem, but not remote start. I don't understand where to connect the green wire labeled 'motor' out of the relay, or the yellow wire out of the relay.
Any help much appreciated!

EDIT - my mistake, I am installing this into a 1992 Nissan 300zx. It is a Jap import, so no factory alarm, other than that, the wiring diagram available on this site is accurate.

Did you hook the "Thick Yellow" to the ignition switch's starter wire?   From that diagram it looks like the relay you are asking about is optional, for starter kill. The remote start should work fine without it.
That circuit appears to be a starter kill circuit. Without seeing the whole manual it's hard to say for sure. But it looks like the 'yellow' going into the relay would be the negative starter kill out from the alarm with the white being the positive relay control from the vehicle. The green would be the starter wire cut in half. Again, without seeing the entire system and entire manual this is my assumption and we all know what happens when we assume.
On another note...make sure you take special care in the installation and allow yourself enough space to eventually remove that system. I have done more than a few of those types of systems over the years...and none have lasted. Although I have seen have had a 'join to iron' wire...
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

X2 with Twelvoltz

The relay appears to be for an optional Anti-Grind or Starter Kill circuit.

All depends on where the relays Yellow wire connects to and where you connect
the Green wire to the cars cut Starter wire.

Those "instructions" scare me.  I'm guessing that the Black wire that is listed

as connecting to "iron" goes to Chassis Ground.  Is it too late to return it a
get a quality system for your Z?  Besides the un-intelligible instructions, the
unit appears to use the oil pressure switch, charge indicator or "five circle to
high pressure wire" to sense engine running. Not good.  A Tach signal wire is preferred.

Additionally your car needs these connections at the ignition switch :

12 VOLT CONSTANT               WHITE (+)                      IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

STARTER  1                              BLACK/ WHITE (+)        IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
STARTER 2                               BLACK / YELLOW (+)    IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
IGNITION 1                                BLACK/ RED (+)             IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
ACCESSORY /HEATER  1      BLUE (+)                          IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

Your unit has two Ignition outputs but only one Starter output while your car needs

one Ignition and two Starter connections.  While I can't find the complete install
guide for your Talon system to be sure, most quality units have a selectable ignition
output ( instead of two fixed Ignition outputs ).  You will need an extra 30/40 Amp
SPDT relay to properly power the Starter2 wire.  Just connecting the Talons lone Yellow
Starter output to both vehicle Stater wires is not good.

Soldering is fun!

May I point out what a load of garbage it's likely to be, first point, that anti-grind/starter cut, they are asking you to connect 86 without actually giving you connection numbers on the relay to ACC. or "ign on".
Question, does this "manufacturer" know what the ACC* or ign 2 does during the start cycle? Hence it won't ever start.
*Exception, BMW and some Porsche.
And what do they mean by ign on?
Look where it's engine run sense is connected to.
One look at those instructions and if the build quality matches them, forget it!
Buy a DEI product, some Viper R/S units are available in Oz, it will be like comparing a Mercedes to a Yugo!
JOIN to IRON bottom of heavy gauge wires, you gotta laugh.

These are pos alarms and starters. The pressure wire connect that to accessory or you're gonna have so many problems. Safe yourself the trouble and buy a branded unit for 60bucks

Ted, I think like me you recognise that vague apology for a diagram and like me you've been there before!
